Folk Art: Barry Colpitts

One thing I know that my Pops loves about me living out East is that when he visits we do day trips for Folk Art. My father is a big art collector, and Folk Art he particularly likes. So a when he came down for a visit in the car we packed ourselves and off on the studio hunt we went. This excursion was one of the better ones, pre-planning helps. We were able to hunt down the residence and studio of Barry Colpitts. Colpitts is one od Nova Scotia’s more infamous folk artists. My Pops now refers to him as ‘his friend Barry’. Hahaha.
